Moosiki Kids

Moosiki Kids classes are interactive "grownup-and-me" style music classes for adults and children ages 4 months to 4 years. Moosiki Kid s blends traditional musical learning with a blend of baby sign language and also a more relaxed, rock-and-roll style, having fun while actually learning musical terms and playing musical instruments of our own. Of course we need to mix it up by using a parachute, puppets, and other various props, all the while incorporating music in every exercise. Our number one goal is to have fun, and by doing so, learn musically at the same time!

Walking With Whitney: Birth to 3 Months:

This Walking With Whitney class is geared for caregivers and babies between the ages of birth and 3 months old. If you feel your baby is too young to attend class, please feel free to attend on your own or bring a doll to practice some of the techniques.

In this class, we will discuss how to read your baby's cues such as stress signs to determine their needs before crying. We focus on proper positioning within containers such as bouncy seats, swings, and strollers. We will talk about why proper positioning is important and how it can affect your baby's development. We will work with you and your baby to practice hands on, simple tummy time tips and tricks in order to promote happy tummy time from the very beginning. We'll also talk about when to start tummy time with your newborn, how often you should encourage tummy time, and what positions are ideal to ensure successful tummy time.

We'll answer questions such as: "How do I play and interact with my newborn", "Is my baby showing typical signs of development", and "How best do I hold my baby".

Additionally, we will touch upon topics such as proper positioning in baby carriers, things to consider when swaddling, appropriate and effective toys for this age group in order to promote development. Lastly, we focus on how to make daily routines more playful and meaningful, and how to use these opportunities to promote your baby's natural development.

$20 for Pre-paid and $25 for Drop-ins.

Walking With Whitney: 4-6 Months

This Walking with Whitney class is a baby wellness, parent education, and infant gross motor class. This a mommy and me class which is geared for babies 4 to 6 months old. In this class we will focus on teaching caregivers how to therapeutically play with their infant to promote gross motor skills. Go beyond the checklists and learn about the developmental sequence and how to play with your baby to enhance their natural development. This class will go into detail about simple, everyday activities you can do during playtime and diaper changes to promote your baby’s strength, visual-motor skills, and age appropriate gross motor skills. We will practice playing with your baby to work on specific skills such as rolling, tummy time, and sitting. We will begin to discuss how to help your baby transition into and out of sitting. We will not only discuss how to promote happy time but also talk about how to advance your baby’s tummy time skills helping them to reach and pivot while on their tummies. In addition to playtime, we will also explore and discuss proper positioning in equipment such as bouncy seats and swings as well as appropriate toy recommendations for each age group. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new parents, ask questions about development in a supportive environment, and enhance your knowledge of infant development. Please join us for a class to learn how to better play with your infant!
