Description

Create a fresh, organic sleeping environment for baby with these toddler pillows made with 100% organic cotton filling and 500-count organic cotton cover that is impenetrable to dust mites and other common allergens.


Two options:




  • The '53' series is made with soft sateen organic cotton fabric and PLA fill. These pillows are also very comfortable and offer the benefit of being machine washable

  • The '54' series is made with soft sateen organic cotton fabric and an organic cotton/organic kapok blend fill. These pillows are completely organic and are very comfortable, but they must be spot-cleaned only.


PLA is a non-aromatic polyester derived 100% from renewable resources. PLA fiber starts with an abundant, natural resource - plants. The starch gets isolated from the other components of the plant and gets turned into sugar. The sugar is fermented in a process similar to making yogurt to create lactic acid. Lactic acid is a naturally occurring material that gives the “tang” to yogurt and makes your muscles ache after a work-out. From lactic acid a molecule called lactide is created. Water is then removed and it gets crystallized to create the high-performance polymer – polylactide (PLA).

PLA performs well in the wash and provides a soft and comfortable feel. The PLA fiber has been tested for chemical emissions and does not off-gas harmful chemicals. PLA is used in food packaging materials and a number of biomedical applications such as sutures, stents, and drug delivery devices. PLA is a non-toxic and sustainable alternative to petroleum-derived products with unique comfort attributes.
